Thanks for your interest in volunteering with CRS’s Bay Area Scienctists in Schools (BASIS)!

You have probably been sent to this web page by a colleague at work who is organizing a group of co-workers to go out to teach a science lesson in a local school.

Please let us know some information about you. We use this for security/emergency purposes since you are working off-site at local schools. We also want to keep you in the loop about how all our BASIS volunteers providing meaningful science learning experiences to teachers and students in the Bay Area.

Many of the schools we serve have “language immersion” classes. We occasionally receive requests for science support (such as translations or class presentations) in languages other than English. CRS often receives requests from schools and science event organizers who wish to connect students from specific demographic groups with scientists and engineers of similar backgrounds.
