CRS Science Socials

Science Socials are a benefit of CRS membership. These fun events are hosted by local science education organizations several times each school year, and give teachers an opportunity to take their own field trip to learn about science resources. Each Science Social is themed around the host site's programs and includes information from a range of programs in addition to the host site's offerings.

Science Socials include an introduction to the host's site and programs, as well as opportunities to talk with CRS staff, colleagues from elementary schools around Alameda County, and other program providers. Teachers take home lots of new activity ideas as well as free teaching materials from our famous "Swap" of donated science goodies.
