More than 40 Bayer employees formed teams and visited schools this year to present fun and content- rich lessons. It was hard to tell who had more fun making balloon rocket cars to explore the concepts of force and motion -- the eager second graders or the visiting scientists!  Volunteers came away with a greater appreciation for the challenges of classroom teachers, amazed at the curiosity and capabilities of students, and enriched by a sense of making a difference.  Teambuilding and communication skills developed through volunteering together carried back to the workplace, too.

Here's what your donation

$50: One science visit to a class of
25-30 students

$100: Customized support for 10 teachers, impacting science learning for 250-300 students

$250: Training sessions for 20-25 volunteers

$500: Field Trip for Teachers event

$1,000: Workshop stipends for educators

$1,500: "Day of Science" event for the entire 6th grade at one school
