Field Trip for Teachers & Science Education Resource Fair
at Chabot Space and Science Center

Theme: Using Science to Support Learning in Language Arts and Math
Saturday, March 17, 2018.  9:00 am -12:30pm

Question: Wouldn’t it be great if there was a “farmers market” style event where teachers could talk with people from a wide range of science programs, for FREE, while noshing and networking with fellow teachers, all at an amazing science playground? Plus, prizes?!

Answer: We think so! And that’s why Community Resources for Science (CRS) has teamed up with Chabot Space and Science Center to present our 4th annual Science Education Resource Fair for Teachers! Come join us on Saturday March 17. You’ll receive free admission to the science center, delicious breakfast nibbles, and have the opportunity to peruse offerings from two dozen science providers. Discover great science resources – from field trips, to in-class programs, to lesson plans, to professional development and how to tie these resources to your language art and math goals – all under one roof. This free event is for teachers only!

  • 9:00-10:00 am—Exclusive teachers only time before the museum opens to the general public at 10:00 am! Chat with science educators from 20+ different organizations from around the Bay while enjoying coffee and pastries.
  • 10:00-11:00 am - The resource fair continues and the labs and exhibits will be open for you to explore.
  • 11:15am- 12:30 pm —Gather in the MegaDome Theater for a program that includes science demonstrations and raffle PRIZES big and small! Chabot will gift a free Fall 2018 field trip to one lucky classroom.
