For Districts

CRS assists school administrators in designing professional development programs, adopting curriculum, and involving community resources to support the development of great science teaching in their districts. We are committed to an approach that builds teachers' awareness and ability to act as independent professionals, aware of changing teaching techniques, able to learn from their practice, set personal goals, and reach the resources and training they want.

CRS supports science education in schools by working with individual teachers, school faculties, and staff across entire districts.  The services we can offer districts are:

  • Providing CRS Teacher Memberships Services to selected teachers or to every elementary teacher in the district.
  • Providing Professional Development to specific groups of teachers across the district or staff at particular schools.
  • Taking on Research Projects to help answer specific questions districts may have about science education practices in their schools or around the Bay Area.
