Eligibility

The Community in the Classroom program is a benefit of CRS Teacher Membership for elementary public school teachers in Alameda County. To be eligible for CIC Volunteer Presentations, teachers must maintain their Membership, have an active email address, and follow the program requirements.

Program Requirements

Teachers are required to remain in the classroom when hosting a volunteer, and to offer support with classroom management if needed. Please do not schedule a substitute during a volunteer visit.

Following a visit, teachers are asked to submit a feedback form to provide immediate suggestions to volunteers and overall evaluation to CRS. The form can be printed and mailed to CRS or submitted online.
