As a learning organization, we evaluate our programs regularly and use the results to refine our practice. In addition to this formative guidance, past Teacher Services evaluations reveal:

Skilled and Motivated Teachers

Teachers in CRS workshops report that the session was effective:

  • 81% were able to find and use more resources
  • 76% felt that they could better understand and use the California Science Standards
  • 74% said that they could work more or better with colleagues
  • 72% reported that it helped them plan science units

  • 89% of teachers in a workshop series reported a greater student interest in lessons by the end of the year.  “Students show a greater interest in [the material] when it is related to science.”
  • 93% of respondents at the end of a series wrote that integrating science had improved learning across the curriculum.  “They love science.  It has been integrated into language arts, math, and technology.”
  • 87% of teachers who had a scientist role model presentation reported a positive response:
