Services for Administrators


CRS assists school administrators in designing professional development programs, adopting curriculum, and involving community resources to support the development of science teaching in their districts. We are committed to an approach that builds teachers' awareness and ability to act as independent professionals, aware of changing teaching techniques, able to learn from their practice, set personal goals, and reach the resources and training they want.

Past Projects CRS has done for Administrators:


Castro Valley Unified School District, 2003
Support for design of district-wide professional development approach and preliminary proposal to the National Science Foundation.

Palomares Elementary, 2001
Whole faculty workshop to facilitate evaluation of project outcomes for report to granting agency

Support for District introduction of new science materials, including:
  • workshop for science leader teachers to facilitate development of District science handbooks
  • review and support of handbook development
  • overview presentation for all elementary teachers in district, and
  • process evaluation
